Specifies standard voltages for 50 Hz a.c. transmission distribution and utilization systems, standard voltages for a.c. or d.c. traction systems and nominal voltages for a.c. and d.c. equipment less than 120 V a.c. or 750 V d.c. This Standard is based on and contains the full text of IEC 60038:1983 incorporating its Amd. 1:1994 and Amd. 2:1997. Text not applicable in Australia has been struck through for clarity. Added text for Australian conditions has been shaded and inserted in its appropriate place. An appendix summarizes variations for Australian conditions.
